LOOKING FOR HOME VIDEO FOOTAGE OF HUNGARIAN IMMIGRANTS
If anyone has old film or video footage (8 mm, VHS, anything) from the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, or 1980's of short segments of any Cleveland Hungarian functions such as Mar 15 or Oct 23 commemorations, debutante balls, scouting events, church dinners, folk dance performances, Mindszenty visit, picnics, Kossuth statue, etc, especially any with children depicted, please contact Endre Szentkiralyi at
endre@56films.com. We are looking to include them in a documentary film about growing up Hungarian in the USA (focused mainly on California but with short detours to Cleveland and other cities), a film dealing with identity and history. This is a current project of the director of Journey Home (Hazateres), which you may have seen in 2006. See director's note below as well as the website for more details. Any submitted film footage would be credited. We'd like to request submissons by the end of March, if possible.

Barmilyen gyerekkori home film/video nagyon jol jonne, foleg ha van benne cserkesz, magyar iskola, vagy mas magyar funkcio jelenet. Nem csak Rolatok, hanem a szuleitekrol is, emigracio utan nem sokkal...peldaul az en apam (Pige) mar a 60-as evek elejen keszitett filmet...esetleg lattatok a Hazateresben.
Ha van ilyen filmetek, kerem irjatok nekem, hogy kb. mikortol, mennyi, es ki szerepel benne -- nagyon jo lenne a filmhez.
